Global Siting Solutions Specialist Support & Service Siting Service Siting Service Siting team is part of Global Siting Solutions team, and it is globally responsible for handling and delivering new standards of wind & site assessment related to the After Sales products that are designed by Vestas for improving the Annual Energy Production (AEP) of the wind turbines. You will be the responsible for performing high quality siting and loads analysis to deliver optimized engineering solution by proper risk evaluation. This will be done by combining your value engineering skills with the commercial expectations of Sales Business Unit and that of the customer. You are also expected to be the technical coach for the engineers. In this position, you will report to Team Leader of Service Siting within the department of Global Siting. The team supports operations in global scale with colleagues across our Technology Centers: India and China Responsibilities Value engineering of After sales projects using your siting skills Optimize projects through innovative design of Wind Power Plants and best in class wind resource assessments to drive down LCOE Setting the standards for advanced wind data analysis Manage technical risk through undertaking and interpreting wind turbine loads analysis Completion of Internal and external Reporting Provide technical information and advice solutions to internal customers regarding technical issues Maintain up to date knowledge on technical developments of wind turbine design, installation, operation, and maintenance Enhance team competencies by being a buddy for other wind and site engineers Review reports delivered from the team & participate in stakeholder meetings Work with various stake holders in Service Sales, VPS, Service Solutions etc. to solve the technical challenges Qualifications Master\'s / Bachelor\'s in Mechanical / Civil / Aerospace / Mechatronics / Structural / similar specialization Minimum 4-6 years of work experience in Wind Resource Assessment Have an interest in wind, terrain, aerodynamics, and dynamically loaded constructions Work structured and systematic and have consistent attention to detail, which enables you to meet deadlines Be an innovative career creative individual who can work autonomously and yet appreciates the value in working in teams Competencies Good working experience in Wind Resource Assessment software like WindPRO, WAsP, WAsP Engineering or equivalents Good communication and presentation skills Programming skills in R & Python will be an added advantage Advanced MS Excel skills You will be working with both internal and external colleagues / partners in a global multi-cultural environment What We Offer We offer an exciting job with skilled opportunities for professional and personal development possibilities in an inspiring environment at an established wind turbine manufacturer.
