Location: Maheswaram -Hyderabad (TS) RESPONSIBILITIES OF APPLICATION ENGINEERING: • Lead a team of testing and validation engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise on BMS development
• Experience in BMS Application development and testing phases
• Experience in effective utilization of resources, Task scheduling, project planning, and budgeting.
• Strong skills to troubleshoot and debug BMS and battery-related issues during development and testing phases.
• Capability to plan and execute testing procedures for BMS and battery applications, including validation tests, performance testing, and compliance testing.
• Develop and implement testing strategies, plans, and protocols for new and existing EV battery products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure alignment of testing efforts with product development timelines.
• Establish and maintain testing procedures, analyse the test results, documentation of testing results and quality standards to validate the performance, safety, and durability of EV battery applications, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize testing processes and enhance overall product quality.
• Stay updated with advancements in EV battery technology and testing methodologies to incorporate best practices and innovations.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Capability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends in EV battery systems.
Qualification: • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Computers Engineering
• Minium 8-12 of experience in Battery Management Systems (BMS) in Electric Vehicle (EV) or similar industries.
Key Result Areas: • Experience with battery management systems (BMS) and energy storage systems (ESS).
• Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB) for battery performance analysis
• Strong knowledge of battery testing standards (e.g., UN38.3, ISO 26262) and regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement testing strategies, plans, and protocols for new and existing EV battery products
• Experience with battery testing and validation processes, including environmental and reliability testing
• Strong technical expertise in analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and schematic capture tools.
• Experience with battery technologies, cell balancing techniques, and power electronics for EV applications.
• Proficiency in simulation and analysis tools (e.g., SPICE, Altium Designer) for BMS hardware development.
• Good Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems used in BMS, such as ARM Cortex-M series.
• Very good Proficiency in languages like C, C++, Phyton, Oops for embedded firmware development.
• Good Knowledge in Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), CANoe / CANalyzer, Version Control Systems
• Good hands-on experience with Debugging and Testing Tools, like JTAG Debuggers and Logic Analysers and Oscilloscopes
• Very Good Knowledge of communication protocols used in BMS, such as CAN bus, SPI, I2C, and UART.
• Fault Diagnosis and Testing: Skills in firmware development for fault detection, diagnosis, and mitigation within BMS.
