Job Purpose: The people who are part of IT Service management solution are the most important component of the complex infrastructure processes it can never be totally automated by technology. The performance of the service management team is critical to the successful management of changes into production, driving the ITSM excellence strategies and so on. Key Responsibilities: Process & governance: To provide and govern the Change Management process for introducing changes into the TMF environments so that the changes are visible and reversible if necessary. Operational management: To manage all Changes (i.e., from Low to Emergency) ensuring there is no adverse impact on services, ensuring the implementation is conducted in an ordered and controlled manner, and audited as required. Ensure Change records are correctly assigned to the relevant support groups and that there is sufficient information in the change record to enable approvers to properly assess the Change request. Review all Changes/Releases and approve or reject them based on their adherence to documented Change & Release Management Process requirements and standards (Important CM KPI, Impact Analysis, Risk Mitigation, Success factors, Compliance). To ensure there has been adequate testing prior to, and sufficient testing after implementation. To ensure Implemented changes are verified and that PIRs are performed on all Major and Significant changes. Release management: To facilitate the resolution of scheduling conflicts for all Changes so that they are implemented in a timely manner in line with the Business requirements. To liaise with other service departments to ensure any potential issues are identified. Management & operational reporting: Delivery of Change Management reports, as requested by Higher Management on time and to adequate quality. Quality Assurance: To ensure Change records have been populated with the correct level of information, before authorizing and scheduling the change request. Change records must include a detailed impact and risk assessment, Business justification and approval. CSI Support: Will support and drive continuous improvement opportunities by defining, measuring & improving processes in scope with effective communication across operational groups.
