Job Title: SAP Release Manager & Jira AdministratorLocation:Bangalore GCCType:Full-TimeJob Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SAP Release Manager & Jira Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for managing the release process for SAP applications and administering Jira to ensure seamless project tracking and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP systems, release management, and Jira administration.Key Responsibilities: * SAP Release Management:

• Plan, schedule, and oversee SAP application releases,project lifecycle phases and coordinate release schedules ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Execution of standard application change control processes including Change Advisory Board (CAB) leadership including change proposal reviews/approvals or rejections as appropriate with supporting communication to all change stakeholders
• Coordinate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure successful deployment of SAP updates and enhancements.
• Maintain and update release documentation, including release notes, rollback procedures, and deployment plans. Own the SOP for Change & Release Management and the BPML in Solution Manager.
• Manage and mitigate risks associated with release activities.
• Ensure compliance with change management and release management processes.Ensure adherence to all applicable standard operating procedures governing application change control requirements as determined by applicable Kenvue Information Asset Protection Policies (IAPP)
• Provide cross organizational communication to stakeholders regarding change control events and activities according to releases (planned and emergency/off - cycle) Report any deviations to I.T. Management and/or Information Security & Risk Management counterparts within the I.T. organization.
• Respond to Corporate Internal Audit and/or external Audit Partner requests for periodic confirmation of defined process controls (SOX testing) and participate in ongoing audit cycles as necessary
• Responsible for the service strategy for IT Service Management process using SAP Solution Manager. Accountable for the overall design and delivery of SAP services, including build and support. Responsible to define global and regional policies, process, strategy, roadmap and procedures in adherence with standards including ITIL, SLDC and Portfolio Management.
• Jira Administration:

• Configure and maintain Jira projects, workflows, permissions, and notifications to support project and issue tracking needs.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and filters for project tracking and performance measurement.Perform trend analysis on project data to support proactive decision-making.
• Provide user support and training on Jira best practices and usage.
• Integrate Jira with other tools and systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Jira performance issues, ensuring system stability and availability.
• Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, business analysts, and project managers.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment on release schedules and project statuses.
• Conduct release readiness reviews and post-release evaluations to continually improve the release process.
• Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements in release management and Jira administration.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in SAP release management and Jira administration.
• Implement automation and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in release and project management processes.
• Streamline project and delivery processes to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Automate SAP Solution Manager/ SAP Focused Build integration with Jira, including customizations using SAP ABAP.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an SAP Release Manager and Jira Administrator. Relevant certifications (e.g., SAP certification, Jira Administrator certification) are preferred.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Information Technology within a large scale, global organization with experience implementing large projects/programs is required.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP application landscapes and release management processes.Proficiency in SAP Solution Manager Focused Build for release management, with SAP ABAP skills for customized integrations.
• A minimum of 5-6 years experience managing Supply Chain technology initiatives primarily in SAP ECC and/or S/4 HANA in a global matrixed organization.
• Proficient on functionalities: ITSM, Customization Synchronization/Scout, Business Process Change Analysis, Downgrade Protection, Cross-System Object Locking, TEA/P reports, Retrofit and CTS+.
• Strong proficiency in Jira administration and configuration.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Skilled in EDL Impala SQL, Python, and Power BI for advanced data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of compliance standards and quality frameworks for secure project delivery. Experience in RAID framework for effective risk and issue management.
• Strong experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. Understanding the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project management experience.
• Understanding of Transport Management in SAP for definition of landscape for the entire program. Experience and ability to manage multiple projects and/or programs with competing priorities to meet deadlines.
• Understanding of GXP and SOX guidelines associated to Change and Release Management. Experience and demonstrated understanding of I.T. Validated System Documentation and System Development Lifecycles (Agile a Plus) Requirements
