Collins Aerospace has the capabilities, comprehensive portfolio and expertise to solve customers\xe2\x80\x99 toughest challenges and to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global market.The Applied Research & Technology (ART) team, part of Collins Aerospace, works with teams around the globe, collaborating with them towards building prototypes, demonstrators, and new products, thereby enabling better innovation and business outcomes for Collins Aerospace.An overview of the ART team can be found in the link below:Key responsibilities for this position:\xc2\xb7 Conduct research on emerging technologies and methodologies related to Industry 4.0/5.0.\xc2\xb7 Develop Factory Simulations of manufacturing processes, including material flow, production lines, resource utilization, and logistics, using industry-standard simulation software\xc2\xb7 Analyse existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for cost savings, through process optimization and technology insertion.\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with a global multidisciplinary team to design and develop innovative solutions for manufacturing.\xc2\xb7 Communicate effectively with stakeholders, manage project risks, and support technology roadmapsEssential Requirements:\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.\xc2\xb7 Minimum of 3 years of experience in factory or process simulation (Siemens Tecnomatix, FlexSim etc.), manufacturing process optimization, or a similar role\xc2\xb7 Practical Experience with Value Stream Mapping, Factory modelling, Cost modelling and/or Process flow optimization\xc2\xb7 Understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies and trends including connectivity, data collection and analytics, IIoT, systems integration.\xc2\xb7 Experience in automating and optimizing manufacturing processes.\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in mechanical manufacturing processes, materials science and engineering\xc2\xb7 Experience in designing experiments and conducting rigorous testing.\xc2\xb7 Self-Driven, experience in working on R&D projects\xc2\xb7 Strong presentation skills for effectively communicating technical information to diverse audiencesDesirable Requirements\xc2\xb7 Experience with factory Modelling & Simulation Software (Siemens Tecnomatix, FlexSim, Arena, Plant Simulation/3DEXPERIENCE, Autodesk Process Analysis, etc.)\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with digital twins and their application in manufacturing\xc2\xb7 Experience with PLCs, sensors and data acquisition systems.\xc2\xb7 Experience with RTLS systems (RFID, UWB, BLE, etc.)\xc2\xb7 Experience with industrial robots, AMRs and AGVs.\xc2\xb7 Experience with 3D Factory Scanning (Lidar, Photogrammetry, etc.) & Data Processing\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with technology scouting and innovation methodologies\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies\xc2\xb7 Proven leadership skills and experience in leading cross-functional teams.\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in creating clear and comprehensive technical documentationCollins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
