How You Will Contribute:Navigator Intelligent Apps is a next-generation Network Management solution for IP, Packet, and Optical networks. Based on microservices architecture, Navigator Intelligent Apps help Network operators plan, provision, and troubleshoot multi-layer networks quickly using a highly intuitive user interface in addition to available open REST APIs.As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you are responsible for the execution of the product verification (PV) phase for the Network Management related applications in a multi-site R&D environment.

• Engage various engineering teams, product line managers and product owners to transform concepts and high-level requirements into optimized test coverage and enhanced customer experience.
• Lead the effort to automate manually devised and executed test cases using automation best practices, including the maintenance of these test cases going forward.
• Partner with your development teammates and product owner within an agile feature team with a focus on our suite of Navigator Intelligent Apps. Testing will be system level vertical testing within a feature team.
• Collaborate closely with multi-site teams throughout the release cycle to ensure thorough test coverage and compliancy to requirements and functional specifications.
• Develop test strategies to fully exercise our Navigator Intelligent Apps portfolio. Test planning via TestRail. Issues raised via Agile JIRA
• Investigate software defects and highlight critical issues that can have potential customer impact and consult with software development engineers in finding resolution or to address problems related to specifications and/or test plans/procedures.
• Collaborate with your peers in other feature teams on integration initiatives and adoption of QA best practices.
• Share your vast QA experience while mentoring more junior members of the team where warranted.

The Must Haves:

• 6+ years of exp in networking domain experience in a QA environment is a pre-requisite for this position.
• Working experience with Optical Networking Technologies- DWDM, OTN Transport, Switching and Optical Control Plane
• Test automation experience is mandatory, experience using Postman (API) and Playwright (UI) in the context of developing automation frameworks would be an asset.
• Knowledge and experience with one of the modern programming languages (JavaScript/TypeScript/Python) is a must. JSON, REST API automation and UI Automation associated tools is desirable.
• Experienced in coordination of activities between global teams.
• Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills associated with enterprise software solutions in general.
• Excellent written (documentation) and interpersonal communication skills (English).
• Strong abilities to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision.
• Knowledge and experience working with UNIX/Linux/RHEL/Ubuntu and/or any other server OS, be it on bare metal and/or Virtual Machine, and system admin functions.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
