The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operations within the lathe shop, ensuring efficient production and adherence to quality standards. The Lathe Shop Supervisor will manage a team of lathe operators, set production schedules, and collaborate with other departments to meet production goals.Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise machinist operations such as drilling, turning, grooving, facing, and tapping
- Work with Production Planning and Control (PPC) to obtain drawings and plan production activities
- Review engineering drawings and production plans for accuracy and conformance
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Proficiency in machining techniques and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
