Lathe Machine Operator
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain lathe machines to fabricate, repair, and modify machine parts, components and rolls.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precision machining.
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of lathe machinery.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures within the workshop.
• Collaborate with other team members for timely completion of machining tasks.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven experience as a Lathe Machine Operator, preferably in a re-rolling mill or heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of machining techniques and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures for lathe machines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Education:
• Diploma or certification in mechanical engineering or machining is preferred.
Experience:
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience as a Lathe Machine Operator.
