Ascend Computers is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laptop Technician to join our growing team. As a key member of our refurbishing and repair department, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and refurbishing laptops to ensure they meet the highest standards of performance and quality.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in laptops. Perform repairs and replacements of defective components, including screens, motherboards, hard drives, and batteries. Run diagnostic tests to ensure the functionality of all laptop systems and components. Refurbish pre-owned laptops by cleaning, upgrading, and installing necessary software and drivers. Maintain detailed records of repairs and refurbishments performed on each unit. Ensure all work is completed within established timeframes and meets company quality standards. Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and efficiency. Provide excellent customer service by communicating issues, solutions, and updates with clarity and professionalism. Follow safety procedures and best practices to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in laptop repair, refurbishing, or a similar technical role. Strong knowledge of laptop hardware, software, and troubleshooting techniques. Proficiency in installing, upgrading, and configuring operating systems (Windows, macOS, etc.). Ability to work with diagnostic tools and repair equipment. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude. A+ Certification or similar technical certifications are a plus.
