The position of Lanscape Architect is the Non key position in these BIDs.Missions/Main Duties:

• Assess and analyze the existing site conditions, including topography, soil, climate, vegetation, and hydrology.
• Understand the needs and goals of the community and stakeholders for the urban space.
• Collaborate with urban planners and architects to determine how the landscape will fit within the broader city master plan.
• Create conceptual and detailed landscape designs that include planting plans, hardscape elements (e.g., pavements, plazas, walkways), water features, and other amenities (e.g., seating, lighting).
• Develop designs that enhance the functionality of public spaces, such as parks, streetscapes, plazas, and waterfronts, while also promoting environmental sustainability.
• Incorporate sustainable design principles, such as water conservation, energy-efficient lighting, and green infrastructure like rain gardens or permeable pavements.
• Plan for biodiversity by selecting native and drought-tolerant plants and integrating green spaces that support local ecosystems.
• Mitigate the environmental impact of development through strategies like stormwater management, soil erosion control, and habitat restoration.
• Engage with the community and stakeholders to gather input and ensure the landscape design meets the needs and desires of the people who will use the space.
• Collaborate with urban planners, architects, civil engineers, traffic engineers, and other design professionals to ensure a cohesive master plan.
• Coordinate with environmental consultants, geotechnical engineers, and surveyors to integrate specialized knowledge into the design

Profile/Skills:

• Bachelor`s Degree in Architecture with Post Graduate Degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience & at least 2 projects completed.
• Use 3D modeling, CAD software, and GIS tools to create designs and simulations.
• Ensure that designs comply with local zoning laws, building codes, environmental regulations, and accessibility requirements (e.g., ADA)
• Explore innovative and cutting-edge landscape technologies, like green roofs, urban agriculture, or ecological restoration techniques.
• Work on creating spaces that enhance the urban environment in novel ways, such as transforming underused urban areas into thriving green spaces or designing with climate adaptation in mind.
