Job Summary :
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support the recruitment and sourcing of contractual manpower for automotive component manufacturing roles at our Sanand, Gujarat location. This role involves sourcing, screening, and facilitating the hiring process for temporary and contract staff to meet the workforce requirements of the production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong network to source manpower from outside the state of Gujarat.
Key Responsibilities :
• Sourcing & Recruitment : Actively source and recruit contractual candidates for various roles within automotive component manufacturing, including production workers, machine operators, assembly line staff, and maintenance personnel.
• Candidate Screening : Conduct initial screening, shortlisting, and interviewing of candidates based on job requirements, including verifying skills, experience, and availability.
• Job Posting & Advertising : Create and post job advertisements on relevant platforms, local job boards, and recruitment agencies to attract a pool of qualified candidates.
• Database Management : Maintain an updated database of candidates, ensuring quick access for future hiring needs. Record all recruitment activities and outcomes.
• Coordination with Vendors : Liaise with recruitment agencies and staffing partners to ensure the timely supply of quality contractual workers for manufacturing roles.
• Documentation & Compliance : Ensure proper documentation for all recruited contractual staff, including contracts, onboarding forms, and relevant paperwork as per company policy and legal requirements.
• Employee Orientation : Assist in the onboarding process for new contractual employees, including conducting orientation sessions and providing essential information about the company and roles.
• Payroll & Attendance : Collection of attendance, timesheets, and payroll processing for contractual staff.
• Reporting : Generate regular reports on recruitment progress, staffing levels, and any issues regarding manpower requirements to HR leadership.
Qualifications & Skills :
• Educational Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience :
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in HR or recruitment, preferably within the manufacturing or automotive industry.
• Experience sourcing for contract or temporary roles is highly preferred.
Skills :
• Strong understanding of the recruitment process for blue-collar, production, and manufacturing roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with candidates, internal teams, and external vendors.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of labor laws and compliance related to contractual employment.
