Job Description

The Lab Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and functionality within the laboratory. They assist lab staff and students by preparing materials, ensuring equipment is in good working condition, and enforcing safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and set up lab equipment and materials before experiments or classes

Clean and sterilize equipment, surfaces, and tools after use

Maintain inventory of lab supplies and reorder items as needed

Dispose of chemical, biological, or hazardous waste properly

Assist lab users with basic troubleshooting and operational support

Ensure safety guidelines and lab protocols are followed at all times

Label and store samples, chemicals, and other materials appropriately

Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor

Perform routine maintenance and calibration of instruments (if applicable)

Support instructors or researchers during experiments or practical sessions

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (additional lab-related coursework a plus)

Basic understanding of lab safety and procedures

Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records

Physically able to lift equipment and stand for extended periods

Good organizational and communication skills

Experience in a laboratory environment is an advantage

Working Conditions:

Exposure to chemicals, biological materials, or electronic equipment

May require wearing protective clothing or equipment (e.g., lab coat, gloves)

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
