Job Description


:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated High Touch Engineer to support Cisco\'s key service provider customer in the Mumbai region.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and expertise for Cisco\'s Service Provider (SP) routing products, ensuring high availability and performance of network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
  • Leads the technical deliverables of Expert Care services (HTEC) and first escalation resource for HTTS CSE\'s on reactive technical issues on assigned engagement(s).
  • Collaborate with Cisco\'s Technical Assistance Center (TAC), Engineering teams to resolve critical issues.
  • Be the conduit between customer and other Cisco entities (TAC/HTTS, BU, SE, DE, NCE, Escalation etc) and work hand in hand with them for faster issue resolution.
  • Leads RCA effort, and as well as documentation and presentation of the same to customer.
  • Drive recreates in Cisco lab.
  • Covers maintenance windows or any other pre-planned off-hours network activity. Cisco Confidential
  • Provides technical, product and protocol level trainings to customer and HTTS teams as needs arise
  • Participates in weekly customer SR review meetings organised by HTOM.
Technical Expertise
  • Strong knowledge of SP routing protocols such as BGP, ISIS, OSPF.
  • Strong knowledge of SP technologies such as MPLS, EVPN, SR-MPLS, SRv6, LDP, RSVP TE and QoS.
  • Deep understanding of OSI, TCP/IP networking, IPv4/IPv6 stack.
  • Expert level knowledge & Troubleshooting on Cisco SP platforms and software- ASR9K, NCS, IOS-XR
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of Network Automation and programmability, SDN transport, virtualisation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Typically requires BS in a technical field (CS/EE preferred) or equivalent plus 8+ years related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting Cisco Service Provider routing products.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting complex network issues in large-scale service provider environments.
  • Expert level (e.g. CCIE) or equivalent relevant experience desired.
