Job Title: Passive L1 Engineer (Network Infrastructure Specialist)

We are seeking a highly skilled Passive L1 Engineer to join our Wi-Fi field support team, focusing on providing passive infrastructure support at airports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF telecommunications and experience in structure cabling, fiber optics, and RF connectorization. Proficiency in CAD software such as CAD 5 and CAD 6 is required for this role. The candidate should be detail-oriented, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be capable of working in a fast-paced airport environment.

Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot passive infrastructure components for Wi-Fi networks at airports.

Perform structure cabling installations, including cable routing, termination, and testing.

Conduct Fiber optic installations and splicing, ensuring optimal connectivity and performance.

Utilize CAD software for designing and documenting passive infrastructure layouts.

Configure and install RF connectors and components as part of Wi-Fi network deployments.

Collaborate with RF engineers and network technicians to ensure seamless integration of passive infrastructure with active network components.

Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify passive infrastructure requirements and recommend improvements.

Document all passive infrastructure installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.

Provide technical support and training to airport staff on passive infrastructure maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, ITI (Industrial Training Institute), or Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).

Requirements:

Proven experience in RF telecommunications, with a focus on passive infrastructure support.

Strong understanding of structure cabling principles and techniques.

Familiarity with Fiber optic installations, splicing, and testing procedures.

Proficiency in CAD software, particularly CAD 5 and CAD 6, for passive infrastructure design and documentation.

Knowledge of RF connectorization techniques and standards.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic airport environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members and airport staff.

Additional Information:

Experience in providing passive infrastructure support in airport environments is advantageous.

Certification in relevant areas such as structured cabling or Fiber optics is a plus.

Familiarity with airport operations and security protocols is beneficial.

This position may require occasional travel to other airport locations for support and maintenance activities.
