• Building and setting up new development/automation tools to simplify day-to day work and reduce toil, general geekiness and interest to solve problems with technology
• Understanding the needs of stakeholders and converting them to technical requirement, architecting and developing suitable solution
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Testing and examining code written by others and analysing results
• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and \xe2\x80\x98fixes\xe2\x80\x99
• Working with various stakeholders to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Self-driven in planning and managing assigned tasks/projects and deliver solutions as per agreement

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• CI/CD tools: Jenkins
• Other automation tools: Ansible/Puppet, Control M
• Scripting/Programming languages: Java, Shell, Python, Groovy, J2EE/Spring (a plus)
• Java servers: Websphere Application Server/Tomcat/Weblogic \xe2\x80\x93 deployment understanding and configuring application on it.
• Other technologies understanding e.g. message queue (MQ)/Kafka, Database e.g. Oracle/PostgreSQL/MongoDB.
• Understanding and preferable working hands on knowledge of micro-services architecture and containerisation (Dockers)
• Deployment of these containers on Kubernetes or on cloud is a plus
• Cloud technology: GCP/AWS/Azure
• Application development background is a big plus
• Identity and Access Management

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements:

• Log aggregation: Splunk/ELK
• Application Monitoring: AppDynamics or similar
• Any network mon tool
• General geekiness, keeping up to market trend
