Job Responsibilities

Ensures the maintenance of a clean, sanitary kitchen by supervising steward personnel: \xc2\xa7 Assigns utility stewards to their stations and assigns any special cleaning. \xc2\xa7 Follows up on assignments, making sure that all have been completed. \xc2\xa7 Issues cleaning supplies to stewards, checking usage and making adjustments when needed. \xc2\xa7 Provides assistance to all stewards as required, filling in at their stations when needed. \xc2\xa7 Ensures that kitchen floors and walk-ins are clean by inspecting the work of utility stewards. \xc2\xa7 Monitors cafeteria and provides assistance to kitchen personnel during set up and clean-up. \xc2\xa7 Monitors dish machine and pot room areas and makes corrections when needed.
Works with the Kitchen Stewarding Executive on daily banquet orders to organise china, glass, silverware and any other needs for the event: \xc2\xa7 Take inventory of existing china, glassware, etc. and reports to Kitchen Stewarding Executive. \xc2\xa7 Ensures proper amount of dishes and lids have been set up by checking hot boxes. \xc2\xa7 Monitors the breaking down and washing of all dishes and silverware from banquets.
Provide employees with the information needed to perform their job effectively: \xc2\xa7 Orients employees to the department and hotel and provides on-the-job training on job responsibilities. \xc2\xa7 Prioritises and assigns work. \xc2\xa7 Provides feedback to the employee and Department Manager on the employees work performance of job responsibilities.
Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Yes I Can! experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations \xc2\xa7 Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service \xc2\xa7 Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems \xc2\xa7 Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis \xc2\xa7 Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction \xc2\xa7 Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality
Adheres to hotel policies and procedures: \xc2\xa7 Attends work on time as scheduled. \xc2\xa7 Follows hotel grooming and hygiene standards. \xc2\xa7 Minimises safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures. \xc2\xa7 Keeps immediate manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance. \xc2\xa7 Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position. \xc2\xa7 Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote co-operative and harmonious working climate. \xc2\xa7 At all time projects a favourable image of Brand to the public.
Job Requirements

\xc2\xa7 2 years experience in hotel food and beverage \xc2\xa7 High school diploma required \xc2\xa7 Excellent oral and written communication skills \xc2\xa7 Collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork \xc2\xa7 Able to resolve conflicts guests, supervisor and employee \xc2\xa7 Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
