Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and hardworking Kitchen Steward to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen, supporting the kitchen staff, and ensuring all hygiene standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the kitchen is clean, well-maintained, and organized at all times.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen floors, workstations, and food storage areas.
• Assist in food preparation and storage as needed.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and regulations.
• Assist with waste disposal and recycling.
• Support the kitchen staff in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Kitchen Manager.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Kitchen Steward or similar role.
• Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a hospitality or food service environment is preferred.
