kitchen steward keeps a Hotel kitchen clean and organized. They are responsible for the sanitation of the kitchen, cooking equipment, dishware, glassware, and silverware. Their duties include:
• Cleaning: Washing dishes, glasses, cutlery, chinaware, flatware, and kitchen vessels
• Removing waste: Emptying trash bins, collecting waste from the floor and work surfaces, separating recyclables, and disposing of grease
• Operating kitchen machines: Using commercial dishwashers, which can include a sink sprayer, a lever-operated washing unit, and a drying station
• Maintaining standards: Ensuring stocking of kitchen ware and maintaining high standards of hygiene in cooking area
• Creating and maintaining a cleaning schedule: Cleaning the stoves, ovens, pots, pans, grills, and refrigerators
• Polishing silver: Occasionally polishing silver
