Job description of Service Engineers
We are seeking a skilled and experienced 'Kitchen Equipment and Food & Beverage Service Equipment' Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of kitchen equipment and food & Beverage service machinery, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The technician will work closely with customers to provide excellent service, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Diagnosis and Repair:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of kitchen equipment and food & beverage service machinery, including Filter coffee & Tea Brewing and Vending Machines, Commercial Grade High Power Induction Boiling pans, Bratt Pans, Oil Fryers, Hot plates, Deep fryers and more.
Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues.
Replace or refurbish defective parts and components to ensure proper functioning.
Preventive Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on kitchen equipment and food & beverage service machinery to prevent breakdowns and extend their operational lifespan.
Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment as necessary.
Provide recommendations to customers for maintenance practices.
Customer Service:
Interact professionally with customers to understand their equipment issues and provide clear explanations of repair processes and costs.
Maintain a friendly and helpful demeanour when addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts used.
Generate detailed reports and invoices to provide to customers.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with electrical and mechanical equipment, especially in commercial kitchen settings.
Stay updated with industry regulations, certifications, and safety standards.
Inventory Management:
Manage and maintain an inventory of replacement parts and tools necessary for equipment repairs.
Order and restock parts as needed to ensure readiness for service calls.
Qualifications:
ITI or Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering.
Proven experience as a kitchen, food & beverage service equipment service technician.
Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, food & beverage service machinery, electrical systems, and plumbing.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize service calls.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy equipment and machinery (up to 30 kgs).
Comfortable working in tight spaces and varying temperatures.
Willingness to work at nights and weekends when necessary.

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?26,000.00 per month
