Cook & Chef Responsibilities:
- Expertly prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes that align with the restaurant's menu and catering requirements.
- Guarantee that all food is cooked and presented to the highest standards of excellence.
- Proactively monitor food inventory and effectively manage kitchen stock.
- Contribute to menu planning, pricing, and the creation of enticing specials for both the restaurant and catering events.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, consistently adhering to strict food safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and seamless operations during peak service hours.
- Take charge of catering preparations for events, ensuring timely and precise delivery of meals.
- Mentor and train kitchen helpers or junior staff members, fostering their professional development.
Kitchen Helper Responsibilities:
- Assist confidently with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and prepping ingredients.
- Diligently maintain and clean kitchen equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Efficiently organise and store food and supplies in their designated locations.
- Sustain a consistently clean, tidy, and safe kitchen environment.
- Support the team during service, driving smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
- Assist with packing food for catering events, ensuring everything is ready for delivery.
