Responsibilities

• Drive the company's financial planning
• Perform risk management by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investments
• Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
• Control and evaluate the organization's fundraising plans and capital structure
• Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations
• Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers etc.)
• Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
• Set up and oversee the company's finance IT system
• Ensure compliance with the law and company's policies
• Manage team of financial controllers and financial analysts.



A Financial Controller's duties and responsibilities generally include:


Reporting

• Project Cost Management and reporting
• Developing financial strategy, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting
• High-level financial reporting and analysis to guide decision making
• Monthly/ Periodical timely reporting for Group consolidation purpose
• Regular budget and forecast preparation and reporting
• Stakeholder management including JV board
• Inter Company Reporting



Financing:

• Cash flow management
• Debt management with lenders
• Financial strategy: Developing financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting.
• Working capital management
• Liasioning with state and central govt authorities for incentives realisation



Controlling, taxation (others):

• Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
• Ensuring compliance with local laws, tax provisions and relevant industry and financial regulations.
• Strong experience in capitalisation
• Developing financial reviews and providing comments and process improvements.
• Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings
• Liasoning with external and internal auditors
• Creating and monitoring company policies and internal controls, especially spending controls, to safeguard company assets.
• Strong documentation with respect to Inter Company/ Related party Transactions
• Lead ERP or other IT system enhancements Projects for India

Financial Controller job qualifications and requirements

• 15+ years of experience in Finance and Accounts including taxation and strong experience in manufacturing.
• 15+ years CA qualification experience
• Company Secretary will be added advantage
• Proven experience as CFO, finance officer or relevant role
• Experience of working with Big Internationally repute Internal and External audit and tax firms is an added advantage
• Multi-national working experience is must
• Exposure in Treasury for Manufacturing Company (including all RBI and FEMA)
• Regulatory working knowledge
• Proficient in data collection/extraction/validation and use of advance level of MS Excel and Power point Presentations
• 3+ years of progressive experience in financial management a big plus
• Experience of Internal Control or Process Excellence strongly preferred
• Knowledge of India GAAP, IAS and US GAAP is plus
• Experience with SAP including ERP transition strongly preferred
• Will be part of leadership team of the Company
• Tamil language is must.
• Greenfield project exposure is plus
• Working experience in listed company is preferered
