Responsibilities:

Design, develop and optimize databases for diverse application workloads

POC, Installation, configuration, upgrade and maintenance of DBMS environment.

Provide production support.

Manage various OS and database specific upgrades on Windows environment.

Work with Application teams to provide guidance and consultancy for optimization and performance tuning.

Build self-service and automation tools using scripts/programs (ex. powershell) in order to reduce manual processing in providing low-touch offerings

Working closely with Microsoft Engineering and Product support teams to provide feedback as well as new feature requirements as per the firm\xe2\x80\x99s development needs

Technical Qualifications:

Looking for a candidate with 8-12 years of MSSQL DBA experience

Detailed knowledge of Always On and Clustering

Has worked migrating SQL Servers from on premise to Cloud (AWS specifically a plus)

Skilled in evaluating and tuning sql for performance enhancement

Bachelors Engineering degree Preferred

Organizational Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills to partner with app developers (including the confidence & ability to influence and promote database solutions)

Excellent analytical skills in understanding issues and devising specific database solutions for global applications
