Junior Software Engineer

Our Junior Software Engineers play a vital role within the Blenheim Chalcot. This role will work alongside experienced engineers who will mentor you as you help develop innovative solutions that make a real difference for our customers. You will contribute to the overall technical vision of the team while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced and progressive environment, where you will support us in building our next generation of GenAI enabled tech businesses. Responsibilities
• Assist in the design and development of software applications.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain standard coding practices.
• Collaborate with team members on project requirements and design specifications.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks under the guidance of senior staff.
• Test and debug new applications and updates.
• Advocate for and implement best practices in software development.
• Contribute to the overall technical direction of the team and the company.
About you
The ideal candidate will be motivated by working in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrable interest in software development via personal projects, internships, or academic projects.
• Ability to understand complex problems and collaborate on effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to take initiative.
• Eagerness to learn from feedback and adapt to new challenges.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Passion for software development and a desire to learn new technologies.
