The Junior Resident (JR) is an essential member of the medical team who is responsible for providing patient care under the supervision of senior residents and consultants. As a Junior Resident, you will be involved in clinical rounds, assisting in diagnostic procedures, managing patient care, and gaining comprehensive experience in the field of medicine. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in patient care, clinical rounds, and daily management of patients under supervision of senior residents and consultants.
Participate in the teaching and mentoring of MBBS students during clinical rotations and hospital duties.
Conduct and assist in practical classes for medical students in clinical skills, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and other medical subjects.
Supervise and guide medical students during their clinical rounds and hospital rotations, ensuring patient care and safety.
Provide hands-on training and guidance in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including clinical skills, patient examinations, and treatments.
Assess and evaluate students' clinical skills during rotations and provide constructive feedback under the guidance of senior residents.
Provide support in administering patient care, including monitoring vital signs, medication administration, and following up on patient progress.
Assist in setting up, administering, and reviewing medical cases and patient histories as part of clinical evaluations.
Offer academic counseling and mentorship to students, assisting them in understanding complex clinical concepts.
Contribute to medical research activities and academic publications in collaboration with senior faculty.
Stay updated with the latest developments in clinical practice, medical research, and educational methods.
Participate in continuing medical education (CME) programs to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Collaborate with senior residents and departmental heads to ensure alignment with clinical protocols and patient care standards.
Engage in the preparation of medical reports, case discussions, and patient care presentations during rounds.
Qualifications:
Education:
MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
Registration with the respective medical council.
