Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - CSIR-ASPIRE Funded Project
We are seeking a motivated and qualified candidate for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under the CSIR-ASPIRE funded project. The project aims to comprehensively investigate the genetic underpinnings of 46, XY DSD using advanced genomic techniques, including targeted gene panel sequencing and Y-chromosome analysis. The role requires proficiency in molecular biology techniques, chromosome analysis, next-generation sequencing (NGS) data interpretation, and strong communication and statistical skills.
Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Project Title: Molecular Diagnosis of Disorders of Sex Development (DSD) in the Indian Cohort Using Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) - CSIR-ASPIRE (37WS(0067)/2023-24/EMR-II/ASPIRE).
Department: Biochemistry, Center for Research in Pure and Applied Sciences
Location: Jain Deemed-to-be University, School of Sciences, Bangalore
Project Tenure: 3 years
Qualifications:
• B.S. 4 years program/Integrated BS-MS/MSc/BE/BTech or equivalent degree with 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test.
• Research experience and publications in SCI journals are preferred.
Skills:
• Proficiency in molecular biology techniques
• Cytogenetics
• Next-generation sequencing (NGS) data interpretation
• Strong communication skills
• Statistical analysis skills
Age Limit: 28 years (relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC, women, and physically handicapped candidates)
