Junior Research Fellow

for the National Green Hydrogen


Mission (NGHM) from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Govt. of India funded


research project in the Department of Chemistry, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal.

Dr. Murthy Dharmapura

Project Duration:

Junior Research Fellow for first two years, Senior Research Fellow in the third year.


(The engagement will be initially for one year further extendable based on performance, the


candidate will be encouraged to enroll for a PhD degree)

Essential Qualification:

M.Sc Chemistry or Physics or any


related discipline with a valid NET or GATE or JEST qualification


or any other national-level exams, as per the guidelines.

Job description:

To develop a next-generation optical sensor


materials that detect real-time and ppm-level hydrogen leaks.


The expected outcome will aid in safer hydrogen storage in


distributed networks and in hydrogen transportation. This


interdisciplinary project involves working with different


institutions across India (IISER, IITs and CSIR labs). The PI from


Manipal has all the advanced R&D infrastructure, expertise


and resources to deliver the proposed objectives of this


exciting research topic.
