Quality Control Engineer - Mechanical Engineering and Metal Fabrication

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of subcontracted jobs related to mechanical engineering and metal fabrication. You will be required to use various dimension measurement instruments and tools to ensure that the work meets our high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to understand the required quality standards for subcontracted jobs Work closely with the subcontractors to ensure that they understand the quality requirements and to provide guidance on quality control processes Conduct inspections of subcontracted work using a variety of measuring and testing equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards Create detailed reports of all inspections and ensure that any non-conformities are identified and addressed Provide feedback and recommendations to subcontractors to improve quality and reduce defects Liaise with the design and production teams to resolve any quality issues that arise during the subcontracted job process Ensure that all quality control documentation is completed accurately and on time Ensure that all quality control equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
Requirements:

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality control within the mechanical engineering or metal fabrication industry Experience working with subcontractors is preferred Familiarity with various dimension measurement instruments and tools Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications Attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Must have own bike and be willing to travel to subcontractors' sites
