Job Summary:
The Junior Pharmacy Manager supports the Pharmacy Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical services. This role involves managing pharmacy staff, maintaining inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: Staff Management:
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising pharmacy staff.
  • Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Customer Service:
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Counsel patients on the proper use of medications and potential side effects.
Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels and order medications and supplies as needed.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize shrinkage and ensure accurate records.
  • Manage the storage and handling of pharmaceuticals according to regulations.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure the pharmacy operates in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prescriptions and controlled substances.
  • Assist in preparing for and responding to inspections by regulatory bodies.
Operational Efficiency:
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve workflow and efficiency.
  • Use pharmacy management software to streamline operations and maintain records.
  • Analyze pharmacy operations and suggest improvements.
Financial Management:
  • Help manage the pharmacy\'s budget and financial performance.
  • Assist in pricing medications and services competitively.
  • Monitor sales and profitability, and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.
Professional Development:
  • Stay informed about new developments in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Attend workshops, seminars, and continuing education programs to enhance professional skills.
  • Mentor and support the development of pharmacy staff.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to carry pharmaceutical supplies and equipment.
  • Manual dexterity to handle and dispense medications.
Work Environment:
  • Retail pharmacy environment.
  • Interaction with customers, staff, and healthcare professionals.
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous substances.
