Job Title: Junior Merchant

Homemonde is a rapidly growing manufacturing company engaged in online market sales of home decor and lifestyle products. We are seeking a Junior Merchant to assist in the procurement and merchandising of our products for the Indian and overseas markets.

Responsibilities:

Assist senior merchants in sourcing and procuring products that meet the company's quality standards and customer demands

Assist in negotiating prices with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best value for the company

Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and new product opportunities

Assist in developing product specifications and packaging designs

Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining optimal stock levels

Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to develop effective product promotions and campaigns

Attend trade shows and industry events to stay abreast of market trends and competition

Maintain accurate product data and pricing information in the company's database

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, or related field

At least 2 years of experience in merchandising or purchasing, preferably in the home decor or lifestyle industry

Knowledge of merchandising and procurement principles and practices

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other office software

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities

Willingness to travel for trade shows and industry events
