Requirements

Job Responsibilities :

• Work as an individual contributor on customer systems to administer both physical and logical database system functions .
• Be proactive in performance tuning and optimization to improve database efficiency .
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to details .
• Implement ,maintain and test Database Backup and Recovery strategies .
• Willing to work in 24/7 shifts as per customer requirements
• Excellent Communication skills to attend customer meetings to understand technical requirements .
• Provide migration support for Cloud Migration Projects (Any Cloud )
• Provide support during system implementation ,production deployments or outages .
• Handles Patching, Upgrades ,etc. for the database systems .
• Having scripting knowledge for automating mundane database tasks will be an added advantage
• Excellent knowledge on SQL Clustering and SQL Server Always On .
• Knowledge on SQL DR and HA options natively available .
• Knowledge of multiple databases systems like Redis ,MongoDB ,Postgres ,Oracle ,etc will be an added advantage .

Nice to have :

• Certifications in database administration & DB management .
• Must be well organized, detail oriented and capable of juggling numerous priorities
• Works well with teams or in a team environment, with the ability to work independently as an individual contributor.

Other Qualification :

• 4 to 5 years or higher strong technical experience in database management services for platforms - MS SQL Server and Always On.
• Bachelors degree in an IT-related field or higher.
• Excellent communication skills in English - verbal and written.
• Strong presentation/communication/facilitation skills (oral and written) .
• Ready to work in rotational shifts as per customers requirements .
• Must be able to work as an individual contributor .
