Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Design Coordinator to support our design management team in the execution of construction projects. This entry-level position offers a valuable opportunity for recent graduates or aspiring architects to gain hands-on experience in design coordination, project management, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in gathering and documenting client and tenant feedback to establish design requirements and project objectives.
Support the development of project budgets and master schedules based on market research and analysis.
Collaborate with senior team members to track design progress and ensure alignment with project schedules.
Participate in design reviews with consultants to provide feedback on design schemes, reports, and proposals.
Assist in the review of Bills of Quantities (BoQs), specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with project guidelines.
Provide administrative support for tracking procurement events, including material approvals and drawing releases.
Coordinate with contractors and consultants to facilitate the review and approval of material and shop drawings.
Attend meetings with clients and tenants to assist in conveying design updates and addressing concerns or requirements.
Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation related to design decisions, approvals, and project communications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture
Strong passion for architecture and design, with a desire to learn and grow in the construction industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Basic knowledge of CAD software and project management tools is a plus.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
