Application Manager/Support
Bangalore/Gurgaon, IndiaAn Application Manager will oversee all development, production support and maintenance activities for one or more applications under a Delivery Team. Reporting to the Delivery Lead, the Application Manager will have operational and administrative responsibility for developers and have operational responsibility for matrixed resources (Analysts, PMs, etc.) that support their application suite.DISCOVER your opportunityWhat will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Provide vision and goals for the team.
  • Work to educate customers on the best use of the product and support the sympathetic change to the product, clearly articulating trade-offs and risks.
  • Challenge requirements to ensure they are in alignment with product design and architecture.
  • Work with business and information security to identify security risks and find solutions, including risk acceptance.
  • Support internal and external audits to ensure services are delivered in a controlled fashion without undue risk to the company.
  • Manage service levels to ensure all commitments are met and any variances mitigated to reduce the impact on overall cost, schedule, and quality for business needs.
  • Work with Technical Architect in defining, analysing, planning, measuring and improving product availability and continuity.
  • Identify and prioritise proactive maintenance action items.
  • Identify and champion improvement opportunities.
  • Implements and monitors SLA / KPI alignment across the full SDLC for each SOW / SLA.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers in pursuit of the company\xe2\x80\x99s best interests.
  • Estimate work requests at various levels of confidence and manage estimates against actuals to ensure change controls are appropriately managed.
  • Manage risk to deliver on service level commitments and project milestones.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for risks and issues.
  • Be a contact point and manage Major incidents.
  • Raise and manage problem tickets.
  • Be a steward for RAMP\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Key conduit between the Delivery Team and wider organisational standards, structures and processes.
  • Work with business and information security to identify security risks and find solutions, including risk acceptance.

  • Proficient with multiple application delivery models including Agile, iterative and waterfall.
  • All outsourced work performed on applications in the group performed under a fully vetted contract in alignment with Procurement processes, including Security and Legal requirements.
  • Solutions implemented address company security requirements.
  • Effective communication skills, particularly on key matters relating to the application grouping to stakeholders.
  • Risk identification and mitigation.

  • High customer confidence in application service reliability.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Proven planning and organization skills, creating own work schedules, prioritising workload, preparing in advance and setting realistic timescales.
  • Adaptable to new/different strategies, programs, technologies, practices, cultures, etc. Comfortable with change, able to easily make transitions.
