As part of the overall RWS business strategy we are making a significant investment in upgrading our financial systems and processes to deliver enhanced reporting and control, more efficient processing enabling great value through enhanced business partnering and decision support.Job OverviewKey Responsibilities

  • Support AP activities
  • Receive, sort and prepare inbound documents
  • Assist in processing purchase order/non-purchase order invoices
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of all AP transactions
  • Complete accurate and timely recording of invoices
  • Assist in processing corporate P-card requests and preparing P-card reports
  • Assist in processing payment files for travel and expense (T&E) claims and preparing T&E reports
  • Assist in performing AP reconciliations and period end close activities in a timely and accurate manner in line with fiscal close calendar
  • Assist with investigating, resolving, or escalating vendor, contractor or employee queries as appropriate
  • Raise any issues or queries requiring judgement and expertise with other AP team members
  • Support AP team on any other ad hoc requests
  • Ensure AP team compliance
  • Perform prescribed AP activities within defined AP policies and ensure all records and transactions adhere to them
  • Ensure AP activities prior to and during period end close are compliant with the fiscal close calendar, ensuring adequate time for collaboration with various teams impacted
  • Ensure all P2P controls are adhered to and documented appropriately
  • Apply knowledge to accurately record all AP activities and maintain supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with others
  • Establish relationships and credibility within AP team as well as other cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with other Shared Service Centre (SSC) process delivery teams to exchange information, as required, and support process improvement where dependencies may exist
Skills & Experience
  • Strong English language skills
  • Working MS Excel skills with a proven aptitude to interpret vendor/supplier and financial data
  • Basic understanding and enforcement of finance business processes, AP policies, and statutory accounting principles to ensure compliant SSC operations
  • Basic knowledge of core finance systems, ERP and related specialty functional systems, frameworks, and functionality
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, procedures, and methods e.g., accrual, obligation, and cost methods
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with a proactive approach, accustomed to working towards tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality of work
Beneficial to have:
  • Conversant in other languages beside English
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business-related discipline
