Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial records, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records of financial transactions by entering account information and updating the general ledger.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable : Process invoices, track payments, and manage accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely payment and collection.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts by analyzing financial data and identifying variances.
• Reconciliation : Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Compliance and Audit Support : Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, and assist with internal and external audits.
• Payroll Processing : Process payroll, manage employee expense reimbursements, and ensure accurate tax and benefits deductions.
• Tax Filing : Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Expense Analysis : Monitor and analyze expenses to ensure cost control and identify opportunities for financial efficiencies.
• Process Improvement : Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency within the accounting department.
Key Qualifications:
• Experience : 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
• Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CA certification is a plus.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge : Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Analytical Skills : Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Organizational Skills : Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Communication Skills : Good verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with team members and management.
