: As a Junior Accountant in the pharmaceutical industry, you will play a vital role in supporting financial operations and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of accounting and finance, with a focus on maintaining accurate financial records and providing timely financial information to support decision-making processes within the organization. Roles and Responsibilities:
Financial Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and other accounting transactions.
Ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements specific to the pharmaceutical industry, such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and pharmaceutical industry standards.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process accounts payable invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payment to vendors and suppliers.
Monitor accounts receivable, generate customer invoices, and follow up on overdue payments to maintain healthy cash flow.
Expense Management:
Review and reconcile employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and approval procedures.
Track and analyze expenses, identifying opportunities for cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and analyses to provide management with insights into the company\'s financial performance.
Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering relevant financial data, assisting in the preparation of budgets, and analyzing variances against budgeted figures.
Compliance and Auditing:
Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls related to financial reporting and accounting practices in the pharmaceutical industry.
Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
Assist in conducting cost-benefit analyses for investment decisions and strategic initiatives within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
Familiarity with accounting software systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
