We are looking for a highly-motivated, committed candidates who are passionate about teaching and imparting quality education to children from marginalized communities.

Position: Judo Coach

Location: Bandra, Mumbai

Reports to: Head / Incharge

Brief about Aseema:

Aseema is a Mumbai-based NGO that is committed to equipping children from marginalised communities with high quality, value-based education, enabling the development of their limitless potential. We run three municipal schools in Mumbai in partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), and one school for tribal children in Igatpuri. Aseema reaches out to 4,400 children living in vulnerable circumstances in urban slums and tribal communities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• To prepare lessons plans systematically and submit on time.
• To include Judo and other range of sports activities in the curriculum.
• To teach in an experiential and interesting manner.
• To be responsible and ensure all sporting equipments are complete, maintained and stored in an organized manner.
• To train the children for the Annual Sports Day and to organize events for the same.
• To conduct health related physical fitness test (HRPF) in beginning and end of the academic year.
• To record BMI on annual progress report card.
• To ensure that parents and School Head are informed in advance about sports competitions.
• To regularly attend meetings and training sessions organized.
• To coordinate regularly with the teachers for the children's requirements.


To assist in organizing events in the school in a systematic and creative manner.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Black belt in Judo with B.P.Ed / M.P.Ed.
• 1-2 years of teaching experience. Freshers can also apply.
• Proactive, team player with good English language skills.
• Candidates residing in Mumbai are preferred
