Position Overview:
As the Purchase Officer, you will be integral in managing the procurement and logistics processes within the company. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the entire purchase processing cycle, from material inward to dispatch. You will work closely with the Production Planning and Control (PPC) team to align purchases with production schedules and ensure timely delivery to customers, including managing invoicing and documentation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the end-to-end process of purchasing, from initiating purchase orders to receiving goods.
• Coordinate with the PPC team to ensure materials are forwarded in line with the production plan.
• Oversee the dispatch process, ensuring that goods are delivered to customers on time and with the correct documentation.
• Handle the invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
• Maintain detailed records of purchases, receipts, and inventory for audit and budgeting purposes.
• Collaborate with suppliers.
• Address and resolve any issues related to procurement or logistics, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Proven experience in purchase/procurement (minimum of 2 years).
• Strong proficiency in computer use, with the ability to learn company-specific software.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of supply chain management processes and relevant legal regulations.
