Position Title: Jr Dietician
Reports To: Site Manager/ Hospitality Manager
Location: GMC Hospital & Medical Services, Goa
Key Responsibilities
• Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counselling for all patients. Counselling data to be maintained
• Consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patient or client (Need based with prior approvals).
• Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, hygiene, sanitation, and quality standards.
• Inspect meals served and food service operations for conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance.
• Daily tasting of the Patient food & the food served at the retail.
• Coordinate recipe development and standardization in regards to Liquid diets & RT diets in consultation with the Chief dietician of Sodexo & also inform the client dietician or dietetics team .
• Coordinate recipe development and standardization, and development of new menus for IPD operations along with the Sous Chef/ CDP.
• Develop and present nutritional and health promotion programs, presentations, etc. to the patients and clients.
• Select, train, and supervise operating teams who plan, prepare, and serve IPD meals.
• Coordinate & Conduct diet clinics.
• Organize, develop, analyze, test, and prepare special meals to name a few - low-fat, low-cholesterol and chemical-free meals.
• Identify technological developments in diet planning at hospitals.
• Conduct audits at the unit on regular intervals.
• Ensure that Safety and Hygiene policy is strictly followed at Site.
• Review the Duty Roster for the F&B department, assign weekly offs and leaves as per policy.
• Ensure IPD feedback is being collected daily, countercheck the feedback received with data collected during dietician patient rounds.
• Oversee the planning and execution of Events and Functions (Victor Hospital and Viva Hotel).
• Ensure the Weekly Deep Cleaning activities of Cafe and Room Service and CCG are performed thoroughly.
• Ensure weekly and monthly CCG and F&B equipment Inventory are performed and submitted to Site Manager.
• Review Credit Sales (Patient Count, Night Tea, Ambulance Driver Meals, Staff Meal Coupons, Discounted Staff Meals- Nursing, Intern Meals- Nursing).
• Ensure department HSE checklist are updated daily.
• Update and submit the F&B department attendance register to Site Manager on the assigned days (18thand 24thof the month).
• Attend the daily Sodexo departmental meeting.
• Conduct daily briefing of F&B department staff at the assigned time (3:00 PM).
• Plan and conduct regular training of the F&B staff as per the training
