The Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing detailed architectural and mechanical drawings related to the design, layout, and development of restaurant spaces, kitchens, and other facilities within the QSR industry. The position requires expertise in CAD software and the ability to interpret client needs and create designs that adhere to industry standards, regulations, and aesthetic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design & Drafting:
• Create accurate and detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD or other CAD software for QSR layouts, kitchen designs, and other facility plans.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to develop functional layouts for kitchens, dining areas, storage rooms, and more.
• Ensure designs comply with local regulations, health and safety standards, and QSR-specific operational requirements.
• Layout Planning:
• Develop site plans and space optimization solutions to maximize functionality and efficiency in high-traffic restaurant environments.
• Consider factors like equipment placement, workflow, customer seating, and utility requirements during the design process.
• Prepare schematics for electrical, plumbing, ventilation, and mechanical systems.
• Collaboration:
• Work with project managers, restaurant operators, and construction teams to ensure design feasibility and smooth execution.
• Participate in site inspections and collaborate with engineers to verify construction quality and design implementation.
• Revisions & Updates:
• Modify and update designs as needed based on feedback from stakeholders.
• Ensure that all drawings are accurately maintained, organized, and up to date.
• Cost Estimation:
• Assist in estimating costs for materials and labor based on design specifications and help with cost-effective solutions.
