We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The Junior Accountant will assist with day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and practices. This position is ideal for a candidate looking to grow their career in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts. Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries and performing reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Expense Management: Review and reconcile employee expense reports.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Assist with Audits: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Support Senior Accountants: Provide support to senior accountants and managers in various accounting tasks and projects.
• Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred. Fresh graduates with relevant internships or coursework may be considered.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Certifications: Pursuing or willing to pursue CPA or other relevant certifications is a plus.
