Job Title: Manager/Sr. Manager Jewelry Analysis
Department: Operations Level: L7/L8 Reports to:Business Head
Job Role: The Jewelry Analysis Operations Manager will work closely with the Business Head
of New Services and senior leadership to ensure the smooth and efficient operation
of jewelry analysis services and related business functions. This position is
responsible for overseeing operations in the domestic market, for both Mumbai and
Surat locations. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and
operational expertise to drive continuous improvement, achieve business goals, and
ensure alignment with our clients core values.Essential Duties: - Accountable for managing the daily operations of the business and consistently
achieving the desired outcomes. This involves planning, coordinating, and
overseeing resources to ensure effective delivery of results.
- Work with the Business Head of New Services to define business -specific goals
aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Cascade goals to the team, ensuring clear understanding, and monitor progress
toward achieving them.
- Responsible for leading key projects/changes and implementing in the Jewelry
business.
- Work with first- and second-level leadership to maintain a strong operational
focus, ensuring consistent results in line with our clients values of process adherence,
integrity, respect, teamwork, and results. Coach them where required on being
better effective first line leaders.
- Establish processes and systems and ensure strict adherence to them. Evaluate
the effectiveness of the processes and continuously improve them to deliver
better results.
- Understand the business environment. Work with leaders to define business
strategy. Communicate the strategy and direction to the team. Take a leadership
role in implementation. Work across functions to translate strategy into reality.
Keep track of changing business conditions and make changes as required to meet
customer needs.- Take keen interest in developing people to perform their roles effectively,
Conduct performance evaluation. Provide honest feedback. Work with
employees to put together development plans and support the execution of the
development plan.
- Lead the hiring of key players on the team. Be involved in the hiring process for
other positions as required. Make good hiring decisions, Work with HR to take
disciplinary actions when required and recommend terminations when
necessary?
- Proactively gain industry knowledge, technical skills and operation management
knowledge required throughout the operations processes in order to effectively
lead the function to meet their production goals (quality and quantity
- Assist in the budgeting process for the Mumbai and Surat locations by providing
detailed data on QC-related , staff headcounts, equipment, and operations.
- Recommends innovation in product, services and processes
- Perform other duties as assigned or per business needs
- Work closely with the Market Development team to ensure that QC standards
align with customer expectations and drive market growth.
- Periodic reviews and presentations with the senior leadership team for review
of KPIs.Qualification: Education & Work Experience:Bachelors degree required; Master degree preferred; must have minimum 4-5
years managerial experience.
Proven expertise in jewelry manufacturing QC, with hands-on experience in quality
management and control processes.
In-depth understanding of industry standards, QC protocols, and production
processes.
Must have thorough understanding of our client divisions, their interaction
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess production quality, identify areas
for improvement, and take corrective action.
Must have completed projects that required inter-departmental
cooperation
