Overview: This is a full-time position basis at the Jewellery Museum Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations, curation, and promotion of the jewellery museum. You will play a pivotal role in preserving and showcasing the museum's collection, while also managing day-to-day administrative tasks, engaging with visitors, and developing strategies to enhance the museum's profile and revenue streams.Key Responsibilities:
Curatorial Duties:
Manage the museum's collection, including acquisition, conservation, and documentation of jewellery pieces.
Develop and implement exhibition plans, ensuring that displays are engaging, informative, and aligned with the museum's objectives.
Collaborate with curators, historians, and designers to create compelling exhibitions that attract diverse audiences.
Operational Management:
Oversee all aspects of museum operations, including staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and facility maintenance.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and ethical guidelines for handling precious artefacts.
Implement best practices for collections management, including proper storage, handling, and display of jewellery items.
Visitor Engagement:
Provide exceptional customer service to museum visitors, addressing inquiries, guiding tours, and facilitating educational programs.
Develop outreach initiatives to attract new audiences and engage with the local community, schools, and cultural organizations.
Utilize digital platforms and social media to promote museum events, exhibitions, and educational resources.
Strategic Planning:
