Job Title: JAVA -Technical Lead- A-DMTA PlatformCareer Level - D3Introduction to Role:Are you ready to leverage technology to impact patients and ultimately save lives? We are seeking a JAVA Technical Lead for our A-DMTA Platform within the IT department of our global Discovery Chemistry and Screening unit. This role is integral to providing a set of well-maintained applications supporting R&D processes at all R&D sites, ensuring stability and reliability of applications.Accountabilities:As a JAVA Technical Lead, you will be responsible for understanding the business context and the R&D Processes where the solutions are being used. You will work closely with the technical team lead, operational service manager and the E2E capability service manager to ensure sophisticated and on-time delivery and service of different applications. You will also be responsible for ensuring Application Support teams deliver services according to the defined business requirements, adhere to AstraZeneca global standards, agreed Service Level Agreements and are managed in accordance to the IT Service Delivery Framework (ITIL).Essential Skills/Experience:Technical hands-on experience in Core Java, J2EE, Angular JS, Spring, Sprint boot, Rest API, MavenWorkflow knowledge of IT systems used for Drug DiscoveryTechnical hands-on experience in Oracle databaseTechnical hands-on with Ansible, Jenkins, artifactory, Docker and KubernetesExposure to IDEs like EclipseGood understanding of SDLC processExperience in Life Sciences IndustryLicensing and its renewal, administration of the platform and the web ports.Adequate knowledge on Oracle PL SQL.Experience with and knowledge of Chemo Informatics/ Bioinformatics.Preferable to have candidates with education in Bio/ Chemo Informatics.
