Overview The E-Commerce Storefronts team focuses on solutions for Cardinal Health Retail Independent customers as well as the Consumer Health team. A candidate for this job should have a desire to work in an Agile & DevSecOps team that is evolving around next generation cloud-friendly solutions and practices. The role will have the opportunity to work on new technologies, develop skills a full-stack developer, and provide technical leadership to the team of developers. What Software Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health Software Engineering is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and supporting applications, systems and IT products required to achieve the company\'s business objectives. Demonstrates knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces. Demonstrates general understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies. Plans and executes system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts. Demonstrates conceptual knowledge of architecture standards and database and operating systems. Demonstrates problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages. Analyzes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance. Demonstrates knowledge of software development, life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents. Estimates to high level business requirements and provide options analysis. Demonstrates knowledge of eCommerce business processes and supporting IT solutions. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred 8+ years experience in related field preferred (4-6 for P3) Working knowledge of three or more technologies preferred Proven leadership ability preferred What is expected of you and others at this level Applies experienced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models (drop for P3) Works on or may lead complex projects of large scope (change for P3) Projects may have significant and long-term impact Provides solutions which may set precedent (Drop for p3) Independently determines method for completion of new projects (drop for P3) Receives guidance on overall project objectives Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues (drop for P3) Technical Qualifications Experience working with HCL Commerce or other ecommerce packages Experience working as a full stack application developer Hands on experience designing, developing and supporting business critical, public facing enterprise Java applications Experience with complex integrations & demonstrate understanding of software architectural patterns Experience building and deploying containerized application on Kubernetes, PCF and GCP/AWS Cloud Hands on experience with databases (DB2, Oracle, MySQL), SQL queries, database modelling and SQL performance tuning Demonstrate good understanding of application security concepts Demonstrate good understanding of DevSecOps and automation Leadership & Communication Qualifications Excellent communication, analytical presentation skills, problem solving skills and learning attitude Be the point person for implementation strategies based on requirements, long-term strategy, and creative design Experience as a technical developer that can lead & influence teams Effective communication working with IT & business senior leadership (directors, VP, and above) Excellent organizational skills preferred .
