Your role


We're looking for a JAVA Cloud Developer to:


• Help us evolve the cloud footprint of a complex FX trading system
• Deliver on strategic initiatives to support the growth of our FX option business
• Collaborate with global business and IT stakeholders, to understand business use case and scenarios
• Design and implement and improve business solutions
• Work across the full software development lifecycle, in an agile team


- Take responsibility and ownership for the system by doing design, develop and maintain of business critical application.

• apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment
• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
• understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
• share knowledge and expertise with colleagues , help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities.

Your team


You will be part of UBS FX Derivatives Client & Trading Applications team in Pune. Your main objective is evolving and enhancing our application stack which processes our FX options flow business. The team provides server-side solutions for pricing and execution of a wide range of financial instruments including Vanilla & Exotic Options. We work on the components that constitute the backbone of our electronic trade capture channels used by internal and external clients The work is high profile and recognized to be key to our business strategy.
Your expertise


• Experience 4-8 years in JAVA server side development.
• Hands-on development expertise on Core Java backend, SpringBoot, MicroServices, multi-threaded performance critical programs
• Proficiency in cloud technologies and platforms (Azure

/ AWS / Google Cloud)


• Good knowledge of Azure environment, Containerization concepts, cloud native development practices, Terraform, Kubernetes
• Excellent understanding of DevOps and CI/ Gool/CD concepts (GitLab, TeamCity, Automated Testing, Pipelines, Ansible, Rex, Maven, IntelliJ, SONAR)
• Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies and hands-on delivery experience in a scrum setup
• Preferably working with investment banks , with good knowledge of FX options business.
• Knowledge on AI which can aid automation, performance and development.
• Understand sense of urgency and worked on Front office area of any investment bank
