Your Role:
- Responsible for the development and support of various business intelligence applications from establishing and following best practices to preparing and structuring the data used.
- Ensure highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by our business customers for business intelligence applications
- Conduct performance monitoring, reporting and tuning of business intelligence applications both installed in AWS as well as on-prem
- Provide support and assistance to IT and business teams in the design, development, testing, and tuning of BI applications
- Develop or enhance existing data visualization dashboards
- Develop and maintain documentation related to architecture, activity, sequencing, communication and use case diagrams
- Ensure security and access control measures are in place
- Assist in disaster recovery planning, testing and execution as needed
- Support ongoing research and development activities to investigate new technologies and tools
About You:
- You have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in the Software Industry
- 3+ years of experience with Qlik or equivalent, such as Power BI
- 3+ years of experience with relational databases working with large amounts of data from multiple data sources
- Experience with Unix/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting
- Python experience an asset
- Knowledge of cloud technology, preferably AWS
- Possesses keen troubleshooting and creative problem solving skills under pressure
- Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks and prioritize based on the needs of the business
- Excellent communication skills to support multiple teams in a matrix environment
- Self-motivated, quick learner who enjoys a challenge, yet rewarding environment
