Trainee Technician Profile :

As a Trainee Technician, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair support for marine vessels and equipment. Working under the supervision of experienced technicians, you will perform a variety of tasks, including cleaning, repairing, and maintaining marine machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance and Repair:

i. Clean, repair, and maintain all parts of the boat or vessel, including machinery on-board commercial and defence ships.

ii. Perform repairs and maintenance on all machinery on-board ships, including main and auxiliary engines, HVAC systems, propulsion systems, generators, gearboxes, pumps, valves, deck machinery, etc.

iii. Perform repairs and maintenance on all yard machines and equipment, including submersible pumps and cranes.

2. Surface Preparation and Coating:

i. Scrape away old paint, barnacles, and debris from vessels.

ii. Remove and replace rotted or rusted sections of the vessel.

iii. Mix and apply paint, wax, and gel coats.

3. Testing and Troubleshooting:

i. Test engines, propellers, steering, and navigational equipment

Requirements:

1. ITI qualification and certification in relevant field (e.g., Fitter, Welder, Electrician, etc.).

2. Practical experience with tools and equipment used in marine maintenance.

3. Ability to read and understand technical manuals.

4. Good verbal and written communication skills.

5. A willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.

6. The ability to carry heavy loads and to stand, sit, and stoop for prolonged periods

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ?10,000.00 per month
