Position Purpose



The IT Infrastructure Engineer takes care of the technical functionality of the basic infrastructure of the enterprise applications and is responsible for the proper operation of the various environments on the basis of the technical infrastructure provided. In particular, it ensures stability, accuracy, up-to-dateness and performance of the components being supported.
The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the provision and proper functioning of the technical components that form the basis for error-free infrastructure operation. In addition, IT IE applies methods to optimize and increase efficiency. In addition, carries out obsolescence management measures and ensures that infrastructure and system documentation is up-to-date. By providing it, it supports the achievement of short-term business goals.

Responsibilities



Direct Responsibilities

• Administration of high-availability database systems

• Monitor team mailbox / SNOW Board and perform simple tasks on your own or sign it to experts

• Provision of on-call services

• Control the legitimacy of access to application data

• Support developer with setting restore points and recover environment

• Monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analyses

• Installation, configuration and test of new Database software versions

• Implementation of technical und regulatory requirements

• Ensure 2nd and 3rd level support for application-related requests from business and IT departments

• Efficient implementation of incident and problem management using internal and external ticketing tools and processes provided for this purpose

• Handle requests, incidents, problems & changes and other error situations with internal and external colleagues involved, as well as the follow-up of the identified corrective or solution/fixing measures
