Job Description

Description Purpose: The IT&D Solution Architect is accountable for proactively and holistically driving solution design activities of the manufacturing platforms within the product teams, ensuring alignment with the overall Enterprise Architecture and product stream strategy. Solutions Architects provides the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to the development of a product or a set of products within a product group. S/He works closely with DevOps/development teams and suppliers to secure that the value planned will be delivered in the most optimal way according to the product strategy and the overall value for money objectives linked to the IT strategy. Key Deliverables: . Delivers the architectural design for platform(s) and inputs to the roadmap by utilising knowledge of defined reference architectures, technology trends, and implementation experience in order to translate a business need into a solution blueprint that represents an end-to-end technical solution . Facilitates the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations . Defines the guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure product-based decisions are aligned with the enterprise\'s future-state architecture vision Skills required: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. Ability to translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements . Understanding of organisations mission, values, and goals Technical: . Excellent understanding of application development methodologies & infrastructure and network architecture Technology neutral: remains unbiased toward any specific technology or vendor choice, and is more interested in results than personal preferences . Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies . Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models . Ability to propose and estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives .
