Job Description

We are looking for a skilled IT Technician to provide technical support and maintain the organization's hardware, software, and network systems. The IT Technician will play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues, ensuring that all technology infrastructure operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide first-line technical support for internal users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and other IT equipment. Manage and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.). Perform regular system updates and patches to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date. Diagnose and resolve issues related to operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.). Assist with the setup and configuration of new devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues and ensure smooth communication between devices. Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords in Active Directory or other systems. Backup and restore data and perform routine system maintenance to prevent downtime. Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications. Collaborate with other IT team members to implement projects and improve the organization's IT infrastructure. Maintain documentation of technical procedures, configurations, and solutions. Provide training and support to users on new software, systems, or technologies.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT or related field is a plus). Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role in a technical support capacity. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications. Experience with networking protocols, hardware, and troubleshooting tools. Familiarity with managing servers, network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), and VPNs. Experience with Active Directory, user account management, and network administration. Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
